Communities celebrating recent installations include:

• Umuwaku & Umuokanne (Ohaji/Egbema) — completed and commissioned.
• Oforola & Obinze (Owerri West) — completed with 233 solar lights deployed.
• Iho (Ikeduru) — materials procured and deployment in progress.
• FUTO Junction — completed and commissioned.
• Nekede & Ihiagwa (Owerri West) — poles fabrication ongoing with 233 lights each.
• Umuokanne General Hospital Road — completed and commissioned.

The projects, executed through NDDC, bolster security, extend market hours, and enhance student study time. Communities awaiting installations are encouraged to remain patient as deployment follows a first-come, first-served schedule.

Traditional rulers, elders, and youth leaders continue to bless and pray for Chief Orie’s safety, while urging him to advance his gubernatorial bid to sustain these people-centric interventions.

Despite contributing significantly to Imo State’s oil revenues, Ohaji/Egbema communities have battled poor roads, failing health centers, and environmental degradation.

As Managing Director of ISOPADEC, Chief Orie championed infrastructure upgrades, educational support, youth empowerment, and transparent governance in partnership with Governor Hope Uzodimma.

His tenure reconnected the commission to its founding mandate — delivering tangible, people-first development for oil-producing communities while fostering peace and accountability.

Students from at least nine tertiary institutions flooded Owerri with Akuatuegwu banners, signaling trust in his vision and cementing his presence during the President’s engagements.
